Camera Obscura Update

I have equipped my camera obscura with some better hardware to get better control and in the end better images with it.

The Camera Obscura

I supported a successful Kickstarter campaign which aimed to make a small and inexpensive Camera Obscura. I received and built my camera – and I already love it.

Exporting photos for the web

If your photos are going on the web, there are several things you can do to get small files, yet decent image quality

Why digital is better than film

I keep reading these articles from film photographers about why film is MUCH better than digital. Pardon my French, but BS!

So I got myself a D700

I have never been a full frame wannabee. I have been very happy with what DX had to offer, but a D700 at $825.- was more than I could resist

The Lomography Petzval lens

Lomography has succeeded on almost all levels with their copy of the Petzval lens. The finished result is beautiful and a real piece of kit.

I don't use filters

I don't use physical filters on my lenses and I very rarely use digital filters on my image files

A fantastic sunset

A small handful of a large number of shots taken during a fantastic sunset byt the Danish Great Belt Bridge in November 2006

Autumn leaves

Autumn leaves. Shot all over the place with all kinds of gear.

Uhmmm, pancakes...

I always loved the look of the ultra-compact pancake lenses. Now I own two.

The honest 35mm

For some reason some photographers seem to think that a 35mm lens is about as boring and bland as a lens can get. I beg to differ.

A few quirky pictures

A few quirky pictures shot in October all converted to B/W - D300s/Sigma 8-16mm and Fuji X100

Autumn vacation on Bornholm

A few pictures from an autumn vacation to the Danish island Bornholm. All shot with the D300s and the Sigma 8-16mm

I do love Sigma!

I have always been a fan of Sigma lenses, and the Japanese manufacturer's latest initiatives have just made me a bigger fan. Sigma does everything right these days.
