10 Golden Rules

The favorite rule has to be the last one, but the nine first are very useful too.

Oh, I love that slapping mirror!

In spite of people's warm feelings for mirrorless and the gazillion great photos shot with camera phones, I don't intend to give up my SLRs any time soon

More B/W from the harbor

Reflections

Another CASE

I supported another IndieGoGo project. Another remote solution from the Chinese CheeringTech Team whose CASE remote I already own.

Don't be an old photo curmudgeon

I'm an old school photographer and take pride in the fact that I grew up on light meters, chemicals and red bulbs, but I have shamelessly embraced automation and digital imaging!

The best camera

Being a photographer with a love for big cameras with lots of facilities and flexibility, means that the best camera is not always what I have with me

Unused potential

I think that most of us don't come anywhere near using the potential in our cameras, and that honing skills and craft is a much better investment than buying new gear

Sky cut by roofs

A few shots from a day on Holmen in Copenhagen. All D300s and 85mm f/1.8

Construction

There's a lot of construction work going on in my neighborhood.

Fun with B/W

Various older shots converted to black and white

Fun with T&S

A few shots of the construction site across from our apartment. Noisy like hell, but fun to look at.

DIY macro flash tube

This neat little macro tool was originally made from a Pringles can. I decided to make an upgraded version.

Pictures from southern Denmark

A handful of high sky images from our recent vacation in southern Denmark. Shot with D300s/Sigma 8-16mm and Fuji X100

Lambing

Spring 2014 we visited a large farm with sheep and witnessed a few hours of the lambing, which in a place like this lasts for a couple of weeks and is hard work 24/7.

Holmen

A trip to the naval base Holmen in Copenhagen. A nice place with lots of ambiance. D300s and Sigma 8-16mm

Camera features I'd like to see

Here's a list of some camera features I'd love to have – all of them doable in firmware, so it's basically a free-for-all smorgasbord of ideas for camera manufacturers.
