Cameras

The things that take pictures.

I bought a camera!

It’s not a new camera – even though it’s new to me. It’s a Nikon D750, a camera launched 10 years go, but it’s great!

Nikon D750

I had long wanted to upgrade my D300s and D700, and this used body came along together with some great lenses.

Nikon D5100 (2nd)

I bought this used together with a couple of kit lenses as a replacement for my previous D5100, which stopped working.

Oh, I love that slapping mirror!

In spite of people's warm feelings for mirrorless and the gazillion great photos shot with camera phones, I don't intend to give up my SLRs any time soon

Unused potential

I think that most of us don't come anywhere near using the potential in our cameras, and that honing skills and craft is a much better investment than buying new gear

So I got myself a D700

I have never been a full frame wannabee. I have been very happy with what DX had to offer, but a D700 at $825.- was more than I could resist

Nikon D5100

I bought the D5100 primarily to play around with video. It has OK video performance and an articulated LCD, which makes it great for the purpose.

Nikon D40

I bought this little gem used in Germany for very little money.

Here comes the photographer!

It's amazing what large cameras can do for you when you are out shooting. They can literally open doors and break down fences.
