Accessories

All the gizmos and gadgets we need and want.

Manfrotto Super Clamp

The Super Clamp is the connection between Manfrotto's arms and the rest of the world. Crudely made, but with an amazing grip. I have four, which will do for now.

Pro Camera Ballhead

This is the third, sturdy ballhead I buy. I missed having something to put on the Super Clamps, a Manfrotto Arm and other places where a sturdy ballhead would do good.

Acratech Ultimate

I bought this used to put on a second tripod, and have been very pleased with it. Lightweight and sturdy and very well made.

Markins Q10

Now that's what I call a ballhead! It's smooth as silk and firm as rock at the same time, and easily holds anything I can dig out of my bag.

Propac battery pack

I wound up with two of these battery packs, which wasn't really the plan, but has worked out anyway since I have two flashes.

Minolta Lightmeter II

A fantastic light meter that I purchased back when few cameras had light meters and even fewer had anything called Auto. Still works like a charm, mechanics and everything.

Arca-Swiss quick releases

I standardized my tripod quick releases and camera plates on the Arca-Swiss system a long time ago and haven't regretted it for a minute.

Nikon Bellows PB-3 on a DSLR

Many Nikon macro bellows are known not to fit on modern SLR's, but I managed to make a very easy conversion to fit my Model III on all my Nikon bodies

What's in my bag

I see these articles and videos all over the web, and like them. Despite claiming the opposite, we're obsessed with gear, aren't we? Here is my gear list.
