Sigma

A highly praised lens, which I wanted from the day the price was announced. At 800.- USD it's very reasonably priced considering how bright it is, how well constructed it is and how sharp it is. The lens is on par with the best primes, and will most likely replace a handful of my prime and standard zoom lenses.

A really wide zoom (like REALLY!) even on a DX-body, which it's made for. Rectilinear in spite of its very wide angle of view and definitely a lens I'm going to love.

My first pro grade walkaround zoom is from Sigma and a great lens on the Minolta AF bodies. It requires an in-body AF motor and is a bit crude on the mechanical side, but has great optical qualities and is bright.

A really great, bright medium wideangle lens on a DX body, very wide on FF. Large and heavy and requires an in-body focus motor, but great sharpness and a nice angle of view not least on full frame where it's absolutely unique with regards to wide and bright lenses.

My first macro lens for the Nikon bodies, but I knew it from my Minolta time where I had the exact same model. A great macro with fine image quality, but quite crude in its mechanical construction. I gave it to a good friend when the Nikon 85mm took over.

A great normal lens for DX bodies. Bright, sharp and well built.
