What I shot
Some winter shots
Some winter shots with the camera obscura armed with a D5100
Pictures taken by mistake, 2014. I published them as a book through Blurb - just for my own sake.
You should never shoot a wedding
Simply don't! Unless you are a wedding photographer and get paid well to do it. Or just a guest bringing a camera.
Thoughts about tripods
I consider a good tripod an essential piece of photographic gear, and the way I take pictures I wouldn't be able to work for long without one.
My Lightroom Workflow
This is how I use Adobe Lightroom. There's a gazillion ways of doing it, but I have settled on my personal way.
My life in 4x5
I supported a Kickstarter project where two guys are building an affordable large format camera, and soon I will own a 4x5 camera. That has raised quite a few questions.
What I learned in week 47
My Sigma 20mm is not sharp - I shoot very little these days
Bad in the good way
So you want pictures that are low quality and trashy in a cool and trendy way? Time to get a hold of some odd gear to put in front of your SLR.
What I shot
A foggy day in the neighborhood.
A foggy day in the neighborhood. D700 and Sigma 50mm f/1.4
Industar 50mm f/3.5
A cheap Russian lens that I bought in Ukraine for almost nothing. Fully manual and fun to play with. Not sharp in any way and with a massive light falloff in the corners on full frame in particular. The Russians of course called this lens "The Eagle Eye"
