Martin Joergensen's musings about photography and life

Fun with T&S

A few shots of the construction site across from our apartment. Noisy like hell, but fun to look at.

DIY macro flash tube

This neat little macro tool was originally made from a Pringles can. I decided to make an upgraded version.

Pictures from southern Denmark

A handful of high sky images from our recent vacation in southern Denmark. Shot with D300s/Sigma 8-16mm and Fuji X100

Lambing

Spring 2014 we visited a large farm with sheep and witnessed a few hours of the lambing, which in a place like this lasts for a couple of weeks and is hard work 24/7.

Holmen

A trip to the naval base Holmen in Copenhagen. A nice place with lots of ambiance. D300s and Sigma 8-16mm

Camera features I'd like to see

Here's a list of some camera features I'd love to have – all of them doable in firmware, so it's basically a free-for-all smorgasbord of ideas for camera manufacturers.

My remote release ecosystem

Since I often take pictures of myself, I use remotes quite a bit and have amassed a collection of flexible and practical remote solutions for my cameras - even a DIY foot release

New York

Thoughts about tripods

I consider a good tripod an essential piece of photographic gear, and the way I take pictures I wouldn't be able to work for long without one.

My Lightroom Workflow

This is how I use Adobe Lightroom. There's a gazillion ways of doing it, but I have settled on my personal way.

My life in 4x5

I supported a Kickstarter project where two guys are building an affordable large format camera, and soon I will own a 4x5 camera. That has raised quite a few questions.

Bad in the good way

So you want pictures that are low quality and trashy in a cool and trendy way? Time to get a hold of some odd gear to put in front of your SLR.
